Spent years pulled around behind a RV back and forth from Texas to Utah. Had a 2.5 inch body lift and 33" tires.
1998 Jeep Wrangler (Black)
Good old 2.5liter stock engine. Runs pretty good but won't win any races.
Searched the internet and found a tool box to anchor behind rear seat as a makeshift trunk for things like hydraulic jack and t-bar and chains and winch controls. Interior was in pretty good shape.
Barricade bumpers added to front and back with an Engo winch and some KC lights. Swing out tire carrier. New top and windshield. Step bars for my short wife.
Put in new radio with bluetooth and mounted a CB.
Took off the body lift and put on new mounts that left about 1" of lift. Threw out the stock springs and put on the Mammoth 3" spring lift with new skyjacker shocks. Rides fine but there was some vibration at first until I dropped the transfer case an inch.
Wheel and Tire
Still the same old 33x12.5x15 inch aluminum wheels from an old company (Progressive) that went out of business a decade ago. I searched down a near match for the rims from American Racing because I had to have a full size spare. Anything else would be stupid. Went to used tire stores and found an old General Grabber 33x12.5x15 for a spare. The tires are old but still have a few more miles on them and I am not going to throw them away before their time.
