Information
Hello - I purchased this all original DJ-5A in September 2017, with 19,880 original miles from a Soybean Farmer in Indiana. The Story is "as he can remember," this 1969 Kaiser Jeep was an Stand-by Service Jeep in a Rural Indiana town and spent a good portion of its' life in storage until it was needed when the primary delivery Jeep needed mechanical service. When the post-office closed in 2011, the main service Jeep was sold at auction. Later the Postal inspector found out this "Stand-by" Jeep was still being stored. It was then in 2012 that it was auctioned off and the farmer bought it. He taught his 3 children to drive with it and mostly just used it to get around his 275 acre farm. Since the children had grown and he no longer needed it, he posted it for sale and that's when I found it, and brought it back to Ohio.

I would be interested in learning any history and production info about these Jeeps.

See you at Bantam on Friday!
