Tailgate closed. I have the window in currently so the 'tabs' for it tuck under the brackets.
With the window removed. You can see the C channel for the rubber 'pipe' that is sewn into the back of the window.
Here is the bracket and bar with the gate open. It closes behind the tailgate (window is removed temporarily for clarity). You can see where the bar fits in.
Just the bracket with a better view of the channel for the piping behind the window. The bottom part of that bracket is lifted up a bit. That is where the tabs on the back window tuck in to keep water out.
Inserting the window onto the bar:
Inserting the bar into the brackets:
With window installed, tabs tucked under the brackets, and gate ready to close. Note the seal on the bottom side of the bar. It snugs up to the tailgate.
Just a note about the bracket height:
This is the slimmer profile bar for the tonneau cover designed for use without a soft top. There are 2 types of tonneau covers from bestop. One allows the soft top to tuck underneath it. The other one doesn't. The one that doesn't is meant for TJ's that didn't have a soft top. I remove my soft top during the summer entirely (including frame) and I prefer this lower profile bar.
If you are needing the brackets and/or bar, check the link below:

This will include the bar AND brackets. You'll know they work together perfectly, and they'll work with either variation of tonneau/duster.
