hey man, nice XJ! I used to have a white one myself

      1. I like those wheels you chose
      2. The cooper discoverer STT is a pretty good tire, I might be getting some soon
      3. As far as lift, I've heard some not so great things about Tuff Country's quality. The best quality for the money in my opinion is Rough Country. In the past they had a few issues, but now they have really stepped up their game and offer better products and service.

I would recommend the Rough Country 3" series II lift kit with the full leaf springs along with a 1" TC drop kit. It comes with shocks as well as lower control arms. The parts are made in the USA and Canada, where as many other companies have outsourced. The 3" kit will fit 31x10.5 tires, and from what people have told me its not totally necessary to upgrade the steering or brake lines. Jeepforum members also get a 10% discount from Rough Country.

I don't have any experience with tuff country, but rough country has a good 3" lift. The series II 3" kit comes with shocks, lower control arms, new coils, and can be bought with either full replacement leafs (preffered) or Add-A-Leafs. They have excellent customer service and quality parts. Jeep XJ Suspension Lift If you decide to go with the tuff country lift don't use the kit that comes with blocks, they should be beat for even offering a kit like that.

If you're on a budget I'd consider this along with some bastard pack leaf's and V8 ZJ coils
      Jeep XJ Suspension Lift

I just bought this and am pretty happy, all considering. It's a great starter lift.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING ME THE ROUGH COUNTRY LIFT ITS GONNA SAVE LIKE $200
Alright time for hopefully my FINAL list:
      Jeep XJ Suspension Lift
IRON ROCK OFF ROAD: XJ/ZJ Adjustable Double Shear Track Bar Conversion Kit
      JKS Manufacturing: Swaybar Components
      ++++Plus an Alignment
++++ Maybe a transfer case drop kit IF i have Vibes [knock on wood].

please check this over, because i really dont want to miss anything and then have to wait to order another part while my daily driver is in pieces. lol that would suck. Im willing to spend around $1,500 IF I HAVE TO IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE AS PERFECT AS POSSIBLE, mind you im only doing this because my current stock suspension is sagging and i want to replace it all, but the cheaper the better, only because i have to go to college in a month.

I know I only had about 700 in my lift, though I haven't bought new tires yet.
Hi there I am a bit confused on how you got to $700.00 without tires. I'm new to the Jeep world and will be looking at doing a lift sometime soon after I get some other things complete.

When I see the attached link from $250 - $350.00 for a 3" lift Jeep XJ Suspension Lift . What else did you buy to come out to $700.00?

If you look at the bottom of that lift kit page, the price for the basic kit with an Add A Leaf (not full rear leaf springs) is $345.00. The price with a full set of leaf springs and bushings etc is $600.00. The full pack is a better plan than the AAL, but either will work.

Hey all, I am looking for the best lift kit for my 1989 Cherokee Pioneer 5 speed, I don't really care about ride quality as this is only a trail rig and a DD in the winter. The kits are as follows, I'd like to know whats the best for lift and what wont sag after 2 weeks of putting it on. I'm also looking for cost effective like whats the cheapest lift that will still be good?

Rusty's XJ Cherokee 3" Spring Pack Lift
      http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-s...its/rustys-xj-cherokee-3-spring-pack-kit.html

Iron Rock Off Road XJ 3" Lift Kit
      http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merc...e=IROR&Product_Code=IR-X3LK&Category_Code=XLK

Rough Country Jeep XJ 3" Series II Suspension
      http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html

Now I have some concerns that goes for all of the lift kits.

First off the Rusty's Off Road Kit seems to be the most plain and basic and it seems to me like its missing some stuff. Am I right about that? Should I purchase the Rusty's Off Road Kit what else would I need to make it a complete kit?

The Iron Rock Off Road Kit it looks to be a full kit and instead of the add a leafs it comes with 3.5" rear leaf springs. Now this kit offers an SYE kit, Adjustable Track Bar, and Ect.. Is anymore of the selectable items needed? I don't know what I would need to make it a full kit. Would I need anything else because of the slight difference in height from the front size of 3" to the .5" difference of the 3.5" rear leaf springs like an SYE?

Rough Country's lift the XJ 3" Series II Suspension looks like it comes with everything but the hardware where would I get the hardware for the lift? It also comes with rear leaf springs which I like over the Add A Leaf's for the rear. Is there anything that I would need to make this Kit a complete kit and make it fit?

First off, sorry if this isn't the right spot cause I'm new here and not sure where to go.

However I recently have gotten myself another jeep after the other one took a fall and I didn't have the money to get it looked at. Now im getting a better job and was wanting to do some things to it but I've never actually did anything to a car other than maintenance. So I want to ask for people that have done stuff to a jeep to give me some guidance on my journey of upgrading my jeep.

I currently own a 1999 Jeep Cherokee SE ( 2.5L 4 Cyl 5 Speed Manaul). It currently has 104,xxx miles on it and the body is in pretty good condition other than a few scratches.

Here's what I plan on doing and any advice would be greatly appreciated:

      1. 3" Lift
      http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-suspension-lift-kit-670x.html

      2. 1.5" Spacers
      http://www.roughcountry.com/wheel-spacers-1090.html

      3. 1.25" Transfer Case Drop Kit
      http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspensi...spx?t_c=1&t_s=101&t_pt=4310&t_pn=DAYKJ01009BK

      4. 15x8 with 31x10.50R15
      http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Wheels-Jeep..._LZ6p-QMB-kXsg_g8Q6krZOub_PHdMFJgKhoChwvw_wcB

I know that these are what I aim for and I know I might have to change it up a little here and there but would these be a good fit and work together? What would you recommend? Advice? There's also a picture of my jeep. It's not the best picture but it's all I got at the moment.

Thanks in advance for the help. Cheers!

Hello Y'all, I just bought a clean 2000 XJ 4WD yesterday. I want to do a 3" lift on it... I've been looking around and have decided to do one with the add a leaf, shocks, springs, lower control arms, and sway-bar brackets.

I've looked into the Rough Country set-ups and they seem to have decent reviews. I'm NOT going to be driving this to much, but I do just want a nice lift to do some trail riding, etc.

The Rough County set is this one for $345.00 http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-suspension-lift-kit-670x.html?gclid=CLOv4uWhhtICFQ5Efgodt6oMcA

Whatca think? I have a budget of $600.00 MAX, and I'll be doing the work myself.

      >:)
