      I like that idea so I googled it. Came across this:

      But they tell you that you have to cut off the loop for what I believe is the majority if not all the fittings on the Jeep. I stole the shot from the website.

      At work we have used the plastic type that has a flat keeper that does not have to be placed under the hex. In your link for google, if you click on the "more Pictures" link it should be the first pic.
      
      I am not sure going with longer zerks on an off-road vehicle would be a good idea.
