      Just don't limit it to "portaband": get a real horizontal bandsaw with a work vise and adjustments, and it's probably the most accurate, square cut you can get. You can get one from Harbor Freight, TSC, or whatever that are pretty good units for less than a Milwaukee or Dewalt portable bandsaw.

      I use one of these almost exclusively besides the plasma cutter: my chopsaw and portaband gather dust..
