It will help greatly without sacrificing steering radius.

Normally I don't go in for large dia. wheels and small sidewalls but that doesn't look bad.

You think that's bad, My daughters Renegade Trailhawk needs a tranny jack to lower and raise the skid plate just to drain the oil out and change the filter. Unless you guys heard of a better way.

Seeing that the wire was cut may have been because of other problems in the steering column shorting that wire to ground at all times.

It should only be grounded when the horn button is pushed. ...

The tough one is they only make one size plug now and the new one won't plug onto an earlier CJ without an adapter.

Depending upon how much you are really attached to that gauge, there are companies out there that do repair them.
It probably won't be cheap.

The clicking sound is the solenoid kicking in and out.
