I have a 146,000 on my "08" and it's still going. had a couple lower ball joints replaced and one tie rod. It's been a good vehicle.

"05" Rear axle question

I found a "05" TJ in nice condition I am going to purchase and it has a D44 rear with drum brakes. Did they come with either drum or disc in 2005? I thought they were all disc?

131,000 miles on my "08" and still going! Lower ball joints done at around 70,000 or 80,000 miles. one tie rod end and starter relay at around 125,000 miles too.

I just put a Tru Trac in my D30 this spring and I really like it. You never even know it's there until a loss of traction and it operates. Not even noticeable in 2 or 4WD when turning. It works good...

Find a machine screw with the same thread pitch and size at the harware store? I don't think a torx head is needed depending on the location or if clearence is an issue.

A turbo 350 trans (THM350) has no band adjustments. A THM250 has an intermediate band adjustment.

I've been to that Jamboree twice now and you'll have no problem with the middle rated trails. They want you to have at least one locker for the higher rated trails. I recommend the bridge rock trail...
