[Hi Guys! Sorry I've been so absent. My new Nikon Z6 has been pushing my Jeeping passion aside a bit for photography, but I'm still a Jeeper.]
As for Dave's (bruin's) need for minimal down time... ...

If I did that oops, I'd put in studs in a permanent manner and use nuts for those two. Cut the head off a couple longer bolts and JB Weld (or whatever) them in such that they are never meant to come...

Plan B: A smaller bore slave would have the same effect as a larger bore master. The current '78 Toyota Land Cruiser slave (part of my Novak bell housing kit) is 13/16", the YJ master is 11/16". I...

'CJ Master in a YJ' project is a bust. Got the CJ part from Summit. It is an inch longer unit than the YJ part, so there is not enough room between the firewall and the big bulb part of the brake...

I actually prefer Levi's at $35 a pair (have two pair with 'clutch holes' now), but if the suckers are going to wear out so fast, Costco brand may be the best choice. :grin2:

I said earlier today that I'd wait, but nope. I ordered a clutch master, '86 CJ7. Also got a fitting adapter so I can use my existing hose. I don't plan to modify the Jeep to make it work, just the...

Yes, I wanted the final disengagement point to be 15% higher from the floor, so less upper throw for the same lower throw.

However, since the MC swap was not a clean project, could be problematic,...

I ordered a Luk LMC308, 0.813 bore. I'm sure I can make it work. Why am I doing all this if the Jeep drives now..... I'm tired of replacing jeans.

Side story: I have Bestop fabric seats, which...

Thanks. After posting and shopping parts more, I noticed the bolt span difference, the bottom hole being closer to the workings. I was thinking of 'slotting' that lower hole in the new part. I'd...

Large Bore Clutch Master?

Typical YJ clutch masters are 0.700"/17.75mm bore. I'd like at least a 0.8" or so to better work with my custom GM motor, Novak bell housing, and '78 Toyota Land Cruiser slave. I see 0.833" bore...

The part is probably loose inside. I would knock it to the right corner to start. Assuming it's in there, you might be able to use a finger in the existing hole on the other side of the frame to...

I went with a new flat dash, not a CJ convert. Dan Dilner of DoubleD.fab (https://www.doubledfab.com) made one of my own design, after a month of back/forth emails of CAD drawings. Autometer gauges,...

I get that here too. I got the current x12.5's at the local Discount Tire maybe 4 yrs ago, mounted to my x7 wheels. Now they clain they won't mount the next set unless I go to new x8 wheels. Rather...

Skip the x10 part on the new wheels for a 12.5 tire. Stick with x8. You likely may not even need those as beadlocks. I run 35x12.5/15 on x7 wheels and at 8-9 PSI have never lost a bead.
