Slow down. If it used to be ok, and now it's not, and there is fluid leaking out, fix that. I run around the desert all day at 90's temps, similar tire setup, with no coolers and no issues.

Swap out the vacuum switch on the t-case with one for a TJ. You have to deal with the socket/plug aspect, but it works. That's what I've had for years.

If that's your Jeep in the photo, it already has the wipers flat, not angled up when stopped like a YJ. I suspect that is the RHD fix already. You're thinking on this too much, need to get off-road...

A clean way to get all the wiring info you need is subscribe to AllDataDIY.com. In your case get both the 93 YJ and 91 XJ subscriptions. This was a huge help when I did my swap years ago.

It's 32 years old. Unless you bought it new, of course there is a chance, likely even, that one got crotchety and was swapped out for a convenient aftermarket unit.

There are 6 skid bolts. Are they all buggered? If so, I'd knock/grind/cut out all 6 and fab a full length replacement plate to basically replace the bottom flat of the frame tube, like 2.5" by 16"...
