I've never used anything but Stant and they've been perfectly fine. Whatever you get, make sure it has a built-in bypass so that even if it does fail in a closed state, coolant can still pass through.

I used Mr. Blaine's kit to do all 4 holes and they've been fine. Just make sure you clean the new threads really good and let the loctite sit for a while before mounting the calipers back up.

Not sure about straight idle time, but it takes a little over 3 minutes at 25 MPH for me, and that's without any fans going as mine are electric and don't come on until 195F.
