My Jeep is a 1994. The Unichip is a piggyback system that is hardwired in. It reads several sensors and alters the crank position sensor and Map sensor signals to basically lie to the ECU.

My YJ is an auto and does this sometimes. I shift it to neutral and it will crank and run fine. If yours is an auto, try this.

I put my switch on the right side of my cigarette lighter plug. There was just enough room to put it there. My switch was a little too big to go in the control unit.

You probably need different gears. My 2.5 with 3" lift and 33" tires will run 85mph. I did regear it to 4.88. It is running very high rpms at 85.
