Gonna look good. I thought my 6mpgs were dumpy. Now I'm really impressed with my 304 getting 11 after a DUI HEI, headers, exhaust, and a carb rebuild/tune.

What's your idle speed? An auto will have a higher idle than a manual so it doesn't stall like you're describing. I believe an auto should be around 900 rpm.

Yeah, you don't need a lift for 30s. I've ran 31s on stock suspension on multiple CJs with barely any rub. A 2.5 lift is perfect for 33s though if you can find some to swap.
