With your unlimited (lj) having a longer rear drive shaft you should be ok with out the SYE for your lift height.
It will be tight on running 33s and you want to make sure you dont sag your lift...

where are you rubbing? If its just turning and its not a lot you can put washers to extend you steering stops a little, if its a lot you can buy wheel spacer.

This is all the way open with the factory spare 245/75r16...
