You can buy a brand new AX-15 from several retailers for around the same price as a rebuilt. Just replaced mine this year after an internal seal failed and it ran dry on the way back home.

I drove with a gas leak for awhile. Drive to the dealer. Unless you smoke, or drag chains behind you.

In my case, the leak ended up being a bad gasket on the tank lid. Cheap and easy fix.

I've had TrueTrac front and rear for years now. My Jeep is a daily driver, and most of my off-roading is in sand. They work very well for that.

Sounds to me like you just need to rotate the drivetrain a little. Put it in 4 high, roll it forward and/or backward a little and then try for 2h. Might just be bound up a little.
