I drive a cherokee XJ and one of my friends is looking at some grand cherokees to buy. I was wondering how reliable the 5.2L v8 engines are on 96 and 97 grand cherokees zj are?

they will fit, but rub pretty bad going over bumps especially when say pulling into a driveway. I had a 2in lift and 31's and they rubbed enough to go up to 4in of lift.
