For my OEM top I'd unzip the sides completely and unzip the rear enough to roll it up. Disconnect the corners and then the whole thing folds back.

The OEM top has a sun rider feature.

I have no idea why it's there but I just took the sliders off of my 2005 LJ to be powder coated and I had the exact same hole with tape over it.

Ahhhhh . . . I've never left the sides on and just removed the rear window. I guess every time I was tempted I was afraid it was going to be a paint to put it back so it was just easier to go ahead...
