What page is that c-2-31 pin out?

You just reminded me that I actually did that, and it reminds me that it actually WAS speed related, not necessarily RPM related. It doesn't occur in 4Lo, but of...

I think I told you backwards. The signal wire has 5v all the time, or at least at the firewall and the VSS sensor location (when unplugged OR plugged in).

Sorry, yeah, the engine harness is basically everything that's in the engine bay, all the way back to the fuel tank (including transmission).

The wire itself has 5 volts, when unplugged. The 5...

We're on the same page thinking wise, which is cool. I actually just went out and re-verified the voltage at the VSS. The signal wire IS getting 5v, which doesn't make sense, as it shouldn't be. I...

The engine harness is 100% in tact, I didn't modify it at all. I did tap into the white/orange signal wire for my rally computer, but...

Unfortunately, if you pull that sensor out, you get transmission fluid all over the place. We had an o-ring tear, and it made a huge mess.

I'm researching folks that might be able to help figure...

The fuel pump voltage drop gives me something to consider for sure. I can tell it's somehow related to the VSS, just by the fact if I remove it from the equation, the symptom stops.

The entire...

Hope someone can shed some light.

We had a fire, so we completely rebuilt the Jeep. New engine harness, new dash harness, and then a HUGE custom wiring job, wire diet, and custom dash.
