Thanks, Bagus! My light switch is pretty new, got it about 1 year ago, but that's what I suspected too. As to my ticking coil, I will check my wiring.

Got sidetracked, but still bugging me! Was checking on why my dash lights were not working and when I pulled the Ign Lmps fuse, it quit ticking. So maybe I've got a short somewhere?

Dang, we talking about the same thing? Isn't the ICM that squarish, maybe 4" x 6" box on the drivers fender? It doesn't ground to the fenderwell?

Thanks Hammer! I'll look into all this tomorrow. I did run a pretty heavy wire from the module to a ground on my firewall so it SHOULD be grounded, but I'll check that, too.

No, don't have a tach, but it runs pretty good for a hard ridden 304! Mike, yes, key on, but not running. I'll try that jumper wire when it cools off outside.

E-coil ticking

Upgraded my coil to a junkyard E-coil. When you turn the key on it makes a rapid fire ticking noise. Not real loud, but you can hear it inside the Jeep (topless). Is this normal?

Windows are clear as glass. Box opened, but I don't think it's ever been out of the box. Still had thin layers of paper between each piece. BTW, thanks for the info!
