I believe the common thought 'way back when' most of us were doing the swap, 59 1/2 was typically used. Which sub'd from the turdy 5, 60 3/4", comes out to 1 1/8 difference... so 9/16" either side....

Ya sure about that? IIRC the axle is 1.25" shorter than the Turdy 5. That's 9/16" on each side. Plus it never hurts to have a wider front than rear for tracking.

Actually no. Still have the spare shaft in... thought the DW was gone and half way down got hecka DW again. Thoroughly pissed! Now too scared to drive it. Went ahead and ordered new ball joints....

One thing the OP may want to consider is the TJ engine is not going to have the same power as the newer JK, so going to 33's there will be some power loss.
