I also cleaned the IAC, pulled the valve cover off, everything looked good, no bent push rods, broken or ratting springs. Throttle body looks clean do I didn't take it off yet.

Just picked up a hard top for my LJ needs a back window..

So after years of watching I finally found a good deal on a hard top for me LJ, $800, no cracks, no major chips, front clips are there and in good shape, everything looks great except no rear window....

Well, the good news is that the new alternator is putting out a consistent 14.1v at idle so despite the test, I'm thinking my old one was in fact bad. Now I'm hoping that the CEL stays away!
