The "A" terminal is the wrong place. It should go to the "S" terminal when testing various resistances.
It may be loading down the voltage...

This goes along with what Fourtrail is talking about checking the fuel pump is pumping correctly.

77 were a 2 bolt mount. I have a set on my 76 when I upgraded to disks. But the 77 has a thinner disk and I thought a smaller piston.

6 bolts should be the right ones for 76.

The jeep runs off the Ignition bypass from the starter solenoid. But as soon as you let off the key, it has no more power.
