My '91 4.0 only misses/stumbles/lacks power when backing up. It drives fine going forward but I have to give it a lot gas to back up. It is as if it is under a load. I have thrown parts at it...

Do some research. 4" requires many mods. Go 2.5 or so and save some headache especially is it is apparently more for looks. I used a Daystar spacer lift and the ride quality is unchanged.
