I found these. Still around from back when I had my '94 V8 ZJ. I won't ever need them again. One is a new Standard brand and the other is used Mopar. I recall it being good. IM me if you want them.

Maybe the ball joint stud isn't resting correctly...

Maybe the ball joint stud isn't resting correctly inside the ball joint after tightening. The stud is being pulled outward when tightening from something at the knuckle or C being off. Guess.

I doubt cleaning and re-tightening starter stuff...

I doubt cleaning and re-tightening starter stuff had anything to do with the dash gauge readings or the system voltage. The starter circuit is isolated and has it's own power and ground connections....

Front hitch, serves as a winch and tow point. There are two tow points on either side of the hitch you can see well in the link. Easy install. This was an economical solution when I did it years ago....
