I suppose I'd go with IRO's kit, of the three listed. I think for your application (I didn't see what size tires you're running) I'd probably recommend stock replacement parts TBH.

I don't recall the details as it's been probably two years since I replaced mine but dropping the crossmember is not necessary. It's a straight forward job. Slightly messy.

If it needs nothing mechanical and most everything is up to date maintenance wise, around about 2500 seems right. I wouldn't take less than 2000.

You could try unbolting the seat bottom at it's hinge/mount in the footwell. Might allow you to angle the front edge upward and disengage the latch.
