You only have to worry about the neutral safety...

You only have to worry about the neutral safety switch in your set up the same as I do. You can put it on a switch or ground it out to work and don't have to have anything done to the computer for it...

I can't speak to if it is the reason they don't fit but yes you can interchange doors from year to year of the YJ as well as the CJ (with the paddle style door handles)..been there and done that...
