ive got 65000 miles on my jeep. I wheel it almost every other weekend, and I drive it on the highway alot. You may have to do more preventive maintanace if you take it off-road alot but it won't...

you can do it in the rear with the nth degree stinger. I wouldn't do it in the front w/o building new mounts because of the braking forces on the control arms

I think just your basic 4 inch lift will work great. you don't need a lot of flex and I would stick with bushing instead of the super-flex joints because mud will wear them out real quick.
