Yeah I ran all new wires when I installed an amp. Nothing crazy just a Jbl 450w running 4 6.5 mb quart speakers. The stock wires are very thin.

Probably broken wires between the door and body. Best bet is to run your own wires. It's very easy too.

Could it be a ground or other electric issue? My temps were reporting overheating when I put the headlights on, ended up being a corroded temp sensor plug.
