What you're probably seeing is the limited slip clutch plates slipping. Undoubtedly, the jeep has a lot of mileage on it and it's reflecting in the Trak Lok clutch plates which is a normal condition...

I would look at the 2 piece axle/hub assemblies. One of them could be slipping under load. Further, if you're going to run 35's it would be a good idea to upgrade to 1 piece axles anyway.

Forgot to mention...When you pull the cover, check to see if your Trak Lok case is still in one piece. Early ones are not as strong as later ones...

I think he stripped a 2 piece axle/hub. By the way, it's not unusual for a TraK Lok to slip. All limited slips do under certain conditions and a Trak Lok is certainly no exception.
