Front brakes wear faster than rear brakes. Take the wheel off and look at the pads and rotors. If the pads are gone and/or you have grooves in your rotors, there's your problem.

My tires ar 31x10.5x15. They don't handle slick roads well, but have done fine everywhere else. I bent a rim on a root once, but the sidewall held fine.
