Clockspring is $100 off ebay or Amazon and take less than 15 minutes to replace but you'll need to rent a puller. Did it before myself for the first time and literally took 15 minutes.

I agree, get a car and learn how to respect a vehicle first before jumping into a Jeep. My dad was a Jeep guy and he wouldn't let me get one at first either, I'm glad he didn't.
