General rule of thumb is can you catch your finger nail on the scratch. If you can’t or if you can just barely catch on it. You should be able to buff out. Good luck

How are you planning on using it?

If it's not a Rubicon, I wouldn't put any money into a Dana 30 axle. Save up for an aftermarket Dana 44. Start that fund with the money you save from not trussing...

Off-roading in Canada

Looks like I’m going to be spending a lot of my winter in Canada over seeing some projects. Does anyone here know of any good trails near Sarnia on the Canadian side. I don’t want to cross back...

How much side wall is enough. A 18” rim with a 35” tire will still have more side wall then a 33” tire on a 17” rim. I guess I’m just trying to figure out how much sidewall is necessary or beneficial...

So you think a forged 17” would be better than a forged 18”. There’s no doubt gearing will make a much bigger difference. Just think that all other thing being equal lighter is better.

17” or 18” rim for 35”or 37” Tire?

Does it make sense to go to a 18” rim when going to 35” tires. I plan on getting new rims either way. Seems like you could save some weight with a good forged 18” rim over a 17” and still have plenty...

I used one for quite a while, but eventually wanted more SCFM. The ones that clip to the battery tend to have larger motors, and more flow (starting about 1.3 vs about .9 for the lighter powered...

Sorry but I disagree. The I4 actually has more low end torque. Because it’s a mild hybrid. It has a electric motor assist. I can’t speak to how long it will last compared to a V6. But I’ve heard good...

Skid plates which first.

I want to add some skid plates to my ‘16 Jku. I was wondering which ones I should get first. I’m in PA so mostly trail driving and it’s my DD. I’d like to keep the weight down as much as possible.

Beadlocks How important?

Just starting with my Jeep/Off-roading addiction. Lol so I’m curious and could find any thread about it. At what point do beadlocks start to really be necessary. Seems like most people don’t bother...
