And that explains why I moved to the Savvy crossmember/skid setup.....that skid is fully supported. Lightweight to boot. I lost a little clearance but the gain in rigidity is worth it.

My old skid isn't very rigid but it held up surprisingly well....I could feel it 'spring' at times when on rocks but...

Ruffstuff has some. You'll just need to figure out where things go, where it all clears, and put the axle as far forward as you can while everything clears. You can figure out 'stretch' in the end...

OK, I thought you were going down closer to TJ width. 65" is a nice width on a TJ and still lets you run a nice amount of backspacing (4-5") while still being plenty wide, stable and providing room...

Your wobble has absolutely nothing to do with the steering linkage geometry. And if the WJ swap was worth the work, I would've already done it. Just my opinion.
