I had a TJ that weighed 4280 lbs and was my daily driver. I ran 25 psi front and rear. Those tires lasted about 57,000 miles. I did do 5 tire rotations every other oil change.

Tired of my TJ so I sold it. Back to a CJ. I picked it up from the original owner with a trailer. 225 Odd Fire V6, T98 4 speed Dana 18 with Warn overdrive and 4.88 gears. Should be fun.

I say go for it. My Jeep has a 4 1/2" lift on 35s and I just did about 9 hours in it last weekend. With the MPG in a Jeep you will have enough of stops along the way.
