If my memory is correct, I just used a 1/4-20 bolt for my steering shaft. Maybe 1 1/2" long.

Did the 20 gal gas tank mod and installed it.

Replaced a brake line that had a pin hole in it.

Bled the brake system.

Finished painting the rear and installed everything...

Finished the coolant flush. There are chunks of old coolant getting trapped in the radiator. Will run it for a couple months to make sure the radiator filters out as much as possible...

Yeah the spots I need to weld are pretty rusty... will have to take my time on those. The PO did such a bad job patching it there are welds that look like sea urchins with all the wire sticking out.
