I only know the upper orange hole or 'U' shape is for clearance for the rubber grommet of the washer fluid hose. Don't know what the other holes are for since my CJ does not have them.

A new tailpipe may be the same cost as a chrome tip add-on. Cut it to length and make another angle cut at the bottom for that factory look.

You can always install a factory spare tire carrier that the rear panel was designed for and are available often on eBay. But backing plates on the inside of the rear panel are almost always a must...

Can't say I've seen that type of one piece retainer before. OEM are bare aluminum and not coated and low profile that attach just like the other one with the curved ends.

The capacitor was mounted on the single hole tab of the coil...

Not for '86. Standard gears were the dreaded 2:73 with 3:31 as an option. 3:54 was standard for the 4 cylinder engine and 4:09 being the option.
