dk02wrangler Just found 2 different threads with similar problems, looks like the shifter stem (plastic piece) is broken. This means i'll have to buy a whole new assembly (stealership) or use my Macgyver skills and use a chop stick or a piece of plastic clothes-hanger to replace the stem with! WOOO
Cheers,
Dan

dk02wrangler the stem possibly snapped or is not hooked onto the right place? Starting to make sense...
Thanks Knuckelhead!

Knuckelhead You may need a new stem or make one from a plastic hanger or chop stick?...

auto shifter won't release from park to drive

I saw this same problem somewhere on the forum a while back, can't find it. This weekend i took out the interior to herculine and today I bolted everything back in. I go to depress the button on the side of the auto gear knob and it will not move from park. However when i remove the knob and press down on the white stem, it will shift. HELP
Cheers,
Dan
