What you keep in that altoids box anyway?
My cigarettes that I roll myself.
That is 4th Zippo I have owned in my lifetime.
All I use.
My first one I inherited from my father when I was about 13.
Lost that one sometime around 18.
Bought and lost 2 more over the years.
That one in the picture was bought in about 2007.
I would really not like to lose this one. LOL.

Ralph77 So today I put the lower part of that back seat that I have been working on back together.
Cleaned it the best I could, put my seat cover back on, and put it back in the Jeep.
So the little plastic pieces on the legs come off pretty easy. You just pop out the plug with a door panel tool.
You do have to work the lever through the slot on the one side but not really a problem.
I thought it was cool how the plugs interlock to secure the plastic to the legs.
Oh if you ever do this don't play with the plugs and put them together by themselves.
They are a pain to get apart when you have nothing to pry against. LOL.

RedJeepster1 Spent some time with the shop dog tonight and regeared the front axle for the Comanche. More to come on that in the coming weeks...

I just like the idea of adding some stability.

Besides sooner or later I will run out of things to do to the Jeep.

Most likely later but then what will I do in my retirement? LOL.
Redjeepster1 is like me minus the bouncing off of every rock and tree he can. If you wanna improve the handling look into building a nice lift with some quality components

kadetklapp Over the holiday weekend a friend and I managed to get the “new” junkyard transfer case installed. We popped the old original one apart and were dismayed at finding nothing obvious wrong with it. This was odd since in 4hi the box was screaming at 20 mph and as soon as you let off throttle it would pop the case into neutral and you had no go. Only thing that worked reliably was 4-lo. Upon opening the case we only found a noisy input bearing and some slight but uniform tooth wear. There was a lot of chain slack however. Anyway, new case works great and the Part Time light works which is a first. While on the test drive (about 20 miles of highway and trail) it up and died. Crank sensor.

And I would only do the center pieces cause it is just a DD.
The rest can be done by the future owner of my Jeep. LOL.

Have a picture before the talent ran out and I almost flopped it on both sides and ended up hitting it with my purse until it went.

Ralph77 The more I think about this the more I think I have to talk to my buddy about doing this.
He knows how to weld and has lift in that awesome garage he just had built recently.
He does work on the side to help pay for it but works for the town now.
My old boss at the store.
Definitely cut me a break but even if he did it for free, which there is an outside chance
he might, I would still have to give him some money anyway. LOL.
Figure I would do all the grunt work and let him trim the stiffeners and do the welding.
Then I could deal with the seam sealer and chassis paint/undercoating.
He is the guy who gave me that drill press. It was not even the cheap HF one but the next
one up. They still sell it and it costs $140. Of course that is before you use a coupon. MLOL.

Ralph77 I might have to do this sooner rather then later.
Just doing the centers for a DD seems like a really good idea.
Of course when I say sooner I mean maybe next year. LOL.

Yes because I wanted extra material to weld the floor pans to as the were getting replaced. Though I also have cross braces that go to my 2x6s
