Because originally when the concept was shown the Compass was geared more to crawling the urban jungle not the trails (which is why it lacks the Trail Rating Badge/Transmission option) and if you wanted Trail Rated you'd go with the Patriot. This was Chryslers attempt to cash in on the whole Fast N Furious Tuner crowd and turn people on to the Jeep brand (instead of just the Dodge brand (ie Neon and then Caliber)

Now the original concept vehicle was much more like the Rallye package they eventually offered (and personally the best looking Compass they make) and while the Rallye is still 4x4 it certainly was geared more towards the tuner crowd than the a-typical Jeep crowd (18" wheels with 55 series tires?) This is why the Compass seems to be the bastard step child that no one likes (no respect from the rest of the Jeep community, and no respect from the Tuner crowd - if you want a tuner buy a Caliber)

Having said that - there is still a lacking aftermarket for the Compass - no matter how you want to trick it out (Fast N Furious Tuner - or Off Road trail monster) and there are some people here that have the RRO lift kit on their Compass - smaller wheels/bigger tires etc...but it'd be nice to see perhaps a roof light bar like the Liberty Renegade, maybe more lift kit options, tubular side steps, tubular brushguards, aftermarket tails, HID projectors would be nice too etc..

Having come FROM the world of Tuners (I had a 98 Neon - modified) the lack of aftermarket products for the Jeep MK's (Calibers have a ton of available parts) is pretty dissapointing considering how much is available for other Jeep models.

Gramps Startech is old news. Contact info over here. Because the Compass was marketed as a non-traditional" Jeep most independents don't want to play with us.

I can personally attest to the lack of interest in MK parts as a whole. I thought that the Skid Plate fasteners would be a very popular item and I've ended up losing my *** on them. I've made a few people very happy, including myself, but I'll never by in bulk again.

Lots of lifted Compass' around. Do we need a special photo section for them and the Patriots?

The Caliber has a HUGE aftermarket presence (so don't go saying it's cause the Compass is still 'new')

Why can't someone make some cool OEM looking LED tail lamp replacements like the Caliber has....

Ok - sorry about that - needed to vent - maybe I'll try and find one of these companies that make them for the Caliber and see if they'll make Compass ones....

me and the wife have been saying the same thing scince we got it all i have done is tint the windows and tint the front turnsignals and the real tail lights so hopefully they will come out with some more shat

Argent33 yeah I think those 2nd ones would look good on my Black Compass

Knightfallzx2 I don't care for the first ones, but the second set is alright.

Argent33 I do just not online - I'm also looking for better scenery to shoot my Rallye in...

I wonder where we can find contact information for one of the companies that actually manufacture like aftermarket tails for the Caliber and write them to see if they'd make Compass ones too...I mean everyone's got JDM style, or Altezza style, tail lamps available for 100's of different makes/models.

Not like I'm looking at major body mods or body kits etc.....I just think some different tails would be nice - maybe even some custom front turn signals lens or something....Projector beam headlights might be cool too - but they'd have to be styled right - and think of the size of the angel eyes you could put on a Compass/Patriot!

Made by these guys apparently - tried to contact them (they have lights for other Jeep's - Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Liberty)
