Paul_C I got most of my parts from here. http://www.drivetrain.com/transferca...%20Model%20231
They carry plenty more than what's listed so if you need something just ask. I got the overhaul kit, a small parts kit (snap rings) and a tin rear output cover. Only bearings I replaced were the front and rear output bearings. I got them at a local bearing shop. Not a bad idea to replace the chain. Most places carry the Borg Warner for 100 or more. I got my chain here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...7896QQtcZphoto
It's a Cloyes brand but it works fine.

You will need a really good set of snap ring and lock ring pliers. http://4x4trailhunters.com/article.php?id=20

The experience I have with a Tera 2Lo kits is that they are very touchy. Alls it is is a selector plate that has an addition detent before 4Lo. If it is not set up perfectly it will have a tendency to pop into neutral from the 2Lo position. Actually if you have you linkages misadjusted to you transfer case you can get your transfer case to act like it is 2Lo. That is the reason I have never recommended the 2Lo kit.

np 231 rebuild kit?

Does anyone sell a rebuild kit for the np 231 t-case? I was thinking about picking up a used one just to have in case my current one fails. I just want to know what things should be replaced in a used t-case just to freshen it up like new?
