Delta0 According to Wikip Limiteds have as many ponies as HOs.

Which lead me on to this.
I have no way of telling if it's what you want.

Golden-Arm i had no problem finding one for sale, in the chrysler parts supply line. the $547.00 price tag was a little "startling", but they're out there, if you look for them.

What does "Buy sensibly" involve please HampshireWJ?

So the HO, as I understand, was discontinued in 08. The V8 then became the FFV. Based on your suggestion I've had half an hour having a quick look but i can't find any cams available for anything after 09.

Do you mind me asking where you might have seen the thread as then I might be able to narrow down what I'm looking for, even if I have to order from the US and spend more on shipping than the cams themselves?

Thanks again for your help - its getting desperate

I just seen this on a dodge forum this morning and read it. They actually measured the cams for comparison.

Probably companies specialising in historic race cars are a good starting point as quite a bit of their work is restoration of original parts that are cream crackered and they farm a lot of work out to little specialist entities.

In reality the loss of the horsepower is not a real issue off roading, but I think the HO engines make their torque lower down which may be more of an issue. Rockauto has standard cams at 55 plus shipping.
Plus VAT
Plus when I bought 2 PCV valves from them, they sent them separately.
So I had to for our for 2 lots of post.
Plus 2 lots of VAT on that post.

A little beyond my technical skills I'm afraid, I'm OK with spanners and rachets but thats about it. I'm going to send your clip to a friend of mine to see if its something he'd be able to help with but here in the UK, every machine shop that I've tried have said that they 'don't have the profile for that cam' or, as in the case of the local shop, 'its too damaged to repair.

Its getting to be a bit hard to be honest because I really dont want to have to put a set of standard cams in it and lose 20bhp. I bought this WJ to be my last ever actual off-roader (as opposed to family car etc) on which I wanted to spend some money and have the mods I've always wanted and keep it running as long as I could - didn't think I'd get tripped up this early.

Thanks again for your help

UKJeepOwner Struggling with the shipping to get stuff to the UK but many thanks for looking - I really appreciate every reply.

UKJeepOwner Hampshire WJ - yes thank you for that - Ive had a fair bit of stuff off Kent in the past but I'll have a look at a few options first as they're probably a little big to be messing around with my job.

But greatly appreciate the reply.
