|2007laredowk||I recently replaced mine but the boot was torn and the ball joint was exposed and crusty aka needing replacement, besides I upgraded to SRT ones.|

There's so much wrong here....
OP, you want to replace a perfectly good part (that really looks nothing like a shock absorber) because you want to prevent it from failing, even though the ones you have will last as long or longer than the rest of the vehicle?
Please tell me you understand torque and bolt stretch, and know what value to set your torque wrench when you tighten the bolts. I hope they come right off for you, and don't break....
