I looking for dimensions for the the stock radio cut out in dashboard for 84 CJ7. PO cut out for standard DIN size radio and I want to restore it back to original size. Believe main cut out is 4 1/4" by 2" but would like confirmation as well as the diameter and spacing of radio knob holes on either side.
Mine is 4 1/4" x 2". Holes are 5 1/2" Center to center with the diameter of 9/16". Also, note the hole on the right has a key way. This is on a '77 CJ5 if that matters to you.

Thanks for the info seth. May ignore the keyway asI don't think I would need for the radio I am installing. Will post pic once I complete dash panel refurb.
If I can add on here, does anyone have a picture where they filled in a molested dash to put in a retrosound? I have some fond memories of those dials and I'm trying to decide if I'll go with a new dash or not.
I've seen your post weapon and like the black dash panel. I planned to paint mine the color of the jeep (electric blue) but think the black would be good contrast so now thinking about that.
