cgw4jesus Thanks for the response! On jack stands...a friend suggested loosening the bolts and driving it a bit to see if it will settle out. I compared the springs prior to installation and the curvature was identical. I measured distance to the ground and it is 2 inches lower front drivers to rear passenger...tilt is obvious, not an illusion. I think I'll loosen and drive a bit and see what happens. CJ7-Tim Did you install the leaf spring eye bolts loosely and then make the final leaf spring bolt torque with the axle tube on jackstands or the tires on the ground ?

I am wondering if the tilt is an optical illusion related to the crash damage ? Have you measured the suspension on all four corners and found that there is an actual "tilt" ?

It may be possible that you received two mismatched leaf springs.

1996 Cherokee Tilted After New Leaf Springs

I have a 1996 Cherokee Sport that my daughter put down a hill last winter into a tree. Passenger front banged in about 2 inches, small wrinkle in inner fender, bumper mount knocked up about an inch. Fast forward, I rebuilt the front and had to finagle to get junkyard hood and fender to line up, but still have an inch or so off on passenger side, but everything closes and looks decent.Prior to the accident, the driver side leaf spring broke in half (rusted), so it was tilted to the side of course. I just put in new leaf springs and suddenly the back passenger corner is 2 inches higher than the driver side front corner. Not sure what to make of it...could the uni-body frame have gotten twisted in the accident? Or are the leaf springs somehow not mounted correctly (I compared them, they had the same curvature prior to installation). Perhaps the driver side coil spring/shock collapsed? The tow driver drug it back up the hill in a not so careful manner. it drives straight down the road even without benefit of an alignment yet. Wanted to get thoughts before I take it to a frame shop. Thanks.
