I have verified that it is in fact leaking. Going to need to replace it. Also, I am told that it seems to be stuck on defrost. No heat to the floor. Fun stuff.
Also, doesn't this thing have a low coolant light? I don't drive it. My girlfriend does. I drive a WJ, daughter drives a Compass.

My experience is documented in this thread with a bunch of photos. Getting the heater box back into place and seated properly was a little tricky, but I describe in here what my solution was.

Thanks! I will watch that video.
I do remember having to disconnect my ac evaporator on the WJ. Would be nice to not have to do that.

Oh pretty fun. Took me a day and a half, but it was my first time and I was going slow. It’s completely doable. It would probably take me three hours now that I know where all the fasteners and screws are.
Here is a great YouTube video of the KK heater core process:
Only difference from the video is that you don’t need to mess with the A/C at all.
The distribution box with the heater core in it can be detached separately from the air conditioning evaporator unit on the right, so that you don’t have to drain the A/C system and remove the whole HVAC housing.

|frankjc||How much fun is it to replace a heater core on a 2012 Liberty? I did one on my WJ a few years ago, took about 3 hours.. Seems like the KK would be easier, tiny dash and all.|
