ChrisHager | No more piles have appeared. He must have stopped for a small break before heading on to better things. |

Fourtrail | Looks like racoon scat to me. yes they will drop their scat in the same place, I have a concrete slab that is even with the ground over the well in my yard and I have one that uses that nice clean spot as his go to scat spot. they are creatures of habit, I have racoon a path through my yard where they go from the barn on one side of the house, to the evergreen bushes along the front of the house, to the grain bins on the other side of the house. worn down to bare dirt all summer and winter. as long as they are not competing for food, they will normally leave other animals alone, so until it realizes it can get hand fed peanuts in the morning, it won't bother your chipmunks. |

ChrisHager | My thoughts exactly. I'm curious. I wonder if there's a big raccoon living under the deck but if so, I think that'd scare away my chipmunks. More so, why take a crap in the same spot, ya friggin' weirdo washin' bear!? |

Check it. I left the first pile on the deck to ferment. Exactly one week later, this morning, another steaming pile arrived. It's identical to the first, right next to it. The weird thing is, I haven't seen any large animals wandering about. Also, my chipmunks still come to the door for breakfast every morning so whatever is decorating my deck hasn't spooked them away. Yes, you read that right. We have a big chipmunk and a baby chipmunk that the boys and I feed peanuts to every morning. Attachment 3836651 Attachment 3836653 Attachment 3836655 Attachment 3836657 |

As you can see from the picture, I have my fancy shoes on today. Bear was my initial thought, though they're only rumored in these parts. Coyote... Definitely possible. |

CJ7-Tim | A large racoon or a small bear. Both will snarf down bird feed. |

Dngrs1 | If I saw that on my deck I would say coyote scat. |

No really... What animal left this gift? Context: This portion of the yard has 6' fences on 3 of the sides and a 3' fence on the remaining side. All gates were closed. What makes the most sense is a massive Raccoon but it reminds me of another animal as well. Just curious what y'all thought. Attachment 3834555 Attachment 3834557 |
