Seanwilder99 Ended up being my clutch fan went out so it wasn’t able to draw in enough air to cool the refrigerant down enough to turn it back into a liquid causing the night pressure

SkylinesSuck What he said. Go to Harbor Freight and grab a manifold gage set. You can't tell squat from just the low pressure side reading.

mukluk It's best if you use a proper manifold and check both your high and low pressure sides to get an accurate idea of what the problem may be. That aside, possible issues where the low side pressure is too high include:
  • Condenser air flow restricted
  • Inoperative cooling fan
  • Refrigerant system overcharged
  • Air in the refrigerant system
  • Engine overheating
  • Accessory drive belt slipping
  • Faulty compressor

High AC pressure

So when I bought my jeep about a week ago the AC didn’t work. I charged the system to 35 and then it worked great for about two days. I drove to the beach about an 8 hour drive and now it doesn’t work well and the compressor kicks on sometimes the jeep wants to stutter but doesn’t die. I put the gauge on it and it’s reading way to high it’s 75+. What’s going on? I checked throughout the days before I left and the pressure was the fine. What could cause this sudden spike?
