75SV1 I am putting on JK 17 inch rims. I used adapter on the rear for now. I have a Ford 8.8. I plan to install a Yukon Axles, so change to 5 on 5. Also, adapt WJ rear brakes.

I am in the process of adapting WJ front brakes with 5 on 5. . I do have WJ front brakes with 5 on 4.5 presently.

Anything will ride better than E rated tires. I prefer 15" wheels because the tires are much cheaper than 17"+ metric sized tires. I bought a Jeep with 17" wheels. When I went to buy some 35" tires, they were $85 more per tire. I bought some 15" steel wheels for $40 each and still saved some money.

I'd stick to 15" because most tires for 16" wheels are E rated and ride very stiff on lighter vehicles. I got rid on the factory 16" wheels on my Rubicon because of the harsh ride.

Wheel size has nothing to do with tire height. Stock tires are around 28-29". The ones you're talking about are 32". Same wheels in each pic.

wranglertec If your XJ is not lifted you will have to a 3.5 lift. Also you will need a 4.5 to 5.0 on 5 bolt pattern adapter. Go with at 1.5 wide. Those tires are metric 32/10/17 or 18

17/18" JK Wheels on XJ

Just bought an XJ from NY and the wheels are all rusty. I found some Wrangler wheels(one listing said they were 255/75 R17)(the flat fat 5 spoke silver ones) on Craigslist and didn't know what I'd need to make them fit. I'm not opposed to adding a lift, but I don't want to do any removing/trimming on the outside.
