jbolty I have a whole different routine now. smoke for a short while, maybe 15. then finish in the fryer. Putting on the smoker frozen works too.

phitmein Were they leathery or just rubbery and under cooked heat wise ?

I smoke mine too and the skin is never really cooked well since I am smoking a 225 degrees and you need more like 350 for good skin .

I smoke mine, then I put the on the top rack of the over in a cookie pan with a raised rack and broil them at 350 for a few minutes and the skin is just right for me .

jbolty I made some wings, which turned out horrible. If I have time I smoke them first then fry to finish but I lost track of time and left on the smoker way too long so the skin was all leathery. Better luck next time

kachink I'm making guacamole to take to a party where someone else is cooking. You have to try really hard to make an avocado not taste good.

phitmein I decided to do spare ribs instead today .

I smoked them about a month ago .

The ground Venison for the chili is still cooling in the fridge from the freezer and I will cook it in the next day or so .

Here is wishing everyone enjoys the big game today .

I'm going with chili for myself but I cooked it 2 weeks ago .
