|PolkaPower||If you depend on it as a DD be extra careful wheeling lol!|

Lift it, wheel it 'til you can afford the new CAs.

Since I'm a worry wart I probably wouldn't enjoy myself anyway, spending too much time concerned about all the stuff that needs to be fixed and/or upgraded. It's ok cause in a few months I should be far enough along to be able to have fun without reserve.
Found out today that I should be getting a nice bonus from work on the first. Already had planned on Bilsteins 5100's from Kolak, but if it pays out like projected, instead of the pucks I should be able to cover the OME springs. Today is a good day.

|Timo_90xj||You don't need to stay on the road, but just beware of the possible (and imminent ) CA failure to happen. I wheeled my ZJ for about a year with original CAs, 1.75" BB and 32s. In the end, I had 7 out of 8 CAs bent, some of them pretty badly - but it still drove ok on the road probably thanks to the bushings still being in good condition|

|Junior1210||Yeah, I've seen pictures of what stock arms look like at and after failure. My current arms aren't bad, they're fine for on road. Until I get the suspension dealt with, unfortunately I'll stay on road. I still gotta get the all other bushings, and I'll do the ball joints too just for peace of mind.|

I kept my stock arms with the OME 2.5 HD springs.
You have to be extra careful off road in around rock though. Stock arms fold like tin foil if the get hit.

|Junior1210||Well I'll have to think on it a while more, but I'm not in a position to do a lot right away anyway. I just want to get this aspect figured out since this is the most wide open option area (in my case).|

Yeah the rear track bar doesn't need to be done at 2", but it should go on the list of things to do eventually. The front is pretty important to do, but you can get away without it if you have to.
Honestly for 2" stock CA's are just fine if you're not trying to break things, stay with those until you can get the ones you want. You can do a pair of arms at a time (do the front uppers first!).

|Junior1210||That's why I wanted to do the OME springs, two birds with one stone (lift and nice ride). I'll do the BB and shocks for now and get the rest of the suspension in tune ( Ca's, bushings, etc), then later after budget opens up I'll swap out the springs. Since the height should be very similar +/- 0.5", I'd like to think it'll be a smooth transition.|

OME has a couple different springs for the ZJ.
A 1" set and a 2.5 HD set. The 2.5 rrode about 2. 25 ish with my 5.9.
The ride quality from the OME springs is much nicer than with BB pucks.

Thanks. I knew I would need longer links, but hadn't decided on who's yet (though it'd most likely be JKS by default).
The reason I asked about your lift was I had been reading about others doing OME springs and how some had to use small spacers to get to their full 2". They all say that it's because the springs aren't designed for a specific height lift, but specific performance and any lift is a bonus. I suspect it's a YMMV kinda thing. My original plan was to do OME springs, but the BB is much easier on my wallet and new springs aren't essential to what I want to do right now.

The new track bar would bolt into the stock location. It's just a beefier version of stock but adjustable.
Mt OME lift was 2.5" OME HD springs and Bilstein 5100s. No spacers.
I also had Addco front and rear away a bars and JKS quick disconnects.
You'll need longer sway bar links or disconnects.
My stock ones broke and the bar wasn't at an optimal angle either.

|Junior1210||Would the rear track bar be able to use the stock mounts? Just out of curiosity, your OME lift, is it the springs + a small spacer ( around 1")?|

I only had an adjustable front track bar with my OME 2.5" lift.
The rear will be off center a bit towards the passenger side but it wasn't enough to cause any problems. Ideally an adjustable rear would be a good idea.
